Dear Fellow, California Professional University (CPU) Mission Statement reads as follows: The purpose of CPU is to facilitate the alignment of professional trainers around the world in the ethical and professional use of skills through the standardization and continual improvement of the CPU. Pursuant to this mission, CPU has formulated a Code of Ethics and a set of Standards for Trainer, Master Trainer, Coach, and Trainer and Master Trainer Trainings. CPU conducts International Trainer and Master Trainer Trainings every year in several locations worldwide to prepare Trainers and Master Trainers to meet CPU's rigorous standards.

If you are interested in being part of CPU, you must attend one of the CPU Trainer or Master Trainer Trainings and go through the testing process. This is the only way CPU can guarantee your ability to conduct training that follows CPU Standards and that you align with the CPU Code of Ethics. CPU realizes you may already be certified as a Trainer and have been training successfully for years. You are to be congratulated on this accomplishment. Nevertheless, to be part of CPU, it will be necessary to attend a CPU Trainer or Master Trainer Training and be evaluated. This is in no way a reflection on your ability or competencies; it is the only practical way CPU has to determine your qualifications and alignment with the CPU ideals. About 10% of the participants in our training are already certified trainers who wish to upgrade their skills and align with CPU. CPU has members on all five continents who have agreed upon Certification Standards in Training of Trainers. All its members are Trainers who have graduated from the most rigorous Trainer Training available. They have agreed on standards of ethics, professionalism, and competence in training. Their syllabus for Trainers and Master Trainer Trainings is updated yearly and includes classic and new cutting-edge developments.

Since 2000, over 40 CPU Trainer Trainings have been conducted in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Slovenia, Turkey, Syria, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Australia, and New Zealand.

Every year, CPU Trainers Trainings are conducted in English, German, and French and through translation in Arabic.

In 2005, CPU introduced an 18-day Master Coach Training, conducted in both English and German. Also, a blended learning Practitioner Curriculum (mix of eLearning and on-site seminar) was created and held three times in Germany with participants from four different countries.

In 2007, we introduced another training concept about learning to learn.

In 2009, we introduced a new systemic constant/coach curriculum.

In 2013, our 20th anniversary of helping provide a framework of guidelines and building up a community of Trainers dedicated to professionalism, quality, and ethics, we are expanding more into Eastern Europe, Russia, India, and other countries where training is taught and used.
